CONTROL VALVES IN OIL, GAS AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY
What is it?
A control valve is a device which is power-operated practically used to manipulate or regulate the flow of fluids, such as oil, gas, steam & water.
Being a critical part of the control loop, it is an example of a final control element. The Control Valves are one of the most preferred final control elements in the various industries.
Why is it used?
Usually, the processing plants consist of thousands, of control loops that are all connected together to manufacture a product that is to be sold. Every control loop is designed and planned to maintain important procedures such as flow, pressure, temperature, level, etc. within a particular operating range that is required to ensure the quality of the end product.
How does it function?
The actuator one of the main devices in the valve which is connected to the valve through the stem that provides the force which is required to move the valve. Control valves can be operated pneumatically, electrically or hydraulically. It receives a signal from the controller such as a Programmable logic controller (PLC) for it to move resulting in a flow change. Since the signal is electrical, the control valve might require a device or component to convert all those electrical signals for its operation.
What are its types?
Valve bodies are of different types depending up on the service conditions, piping layout, and desired applications. The two types of control valves that are in common use are Rotary and Linear Motion control valves.
Where is it used?
The Control valves are used in water treatment plants, irrigation systems, oil and gas plants, fire prevention systems, power generation, food processing industries by streamlining the reply to changes taking place in processes by providing better safety to both personnel and equipment. It is the duty of the control valve suppliers and valve manufactures to ensure that the customer is offered with a valve that is perfect for their intended usage.
Oil & Gas Industry
Valves are an important organ of any piping system, which means that they have a vital role in the oil & gas industry. They are used to isolate & protect equipment, to control flow rates, and to guide & direct the refining process of the crude oil. Specifically, these valves provide a mechanism to control the process over flow rate, temperature and pressure in the oil & gas industry. They basically function by varying the size of the flow pathway as directed by either an electrical, a hydraulic or a pneumatic signal that is sent from the controller. The automatic operation of these valves gives them an ability to be remotely operated, instead of having an operator for constantly monitoring and adjusting.
Petrochemical Industry
The functions of a flow control valve in the petrochemical process that are complex is the key, since multiple loops that are involved in the process should be kept under dynamic and strict control to make sure that the process, on the whole, works as it is intended and produces the desired output in that is quantitatively, qualitatively and timely perfect.
How we differ?
We valvulasfevisa are one of the leading valve manufacturers in Spain and a leading valve stockist in UAE. With our team of brilliant engineers, we ensure to bring in to consideration many factors in order to design and manufacture a perfect control valve. Our European origin valves are designed and manufactured using our latest technology that is original and reliable. Our computerized system helps the team to determine the most perfect control valves design and its features based on their process parameters according to the customer requirement.
